The value: Whether due to a spelling error, an unintentionally omitted detail, or newly acquired information, there are times when messages require an update. Except for users with the New Member role, all Esri Community members are permissioned with the ability to edit their own posts.
How to do it: Open the post you’d like to edit or the post your comment/reply is published on. To the top right of your message, select the Post Options dropdown to reveal a list of selectable features. Choose the Edit Post option. Make the desired changes to your message and use the Post button to republish.

Keep in Mind: Edited messages maintain a version history that Esri Community Admins have access to. Editing a post does not mean that former iterations of a message are entirely removed.
Members who feel their post should be removed rather than edited can reach out to the Esri Community team at esricommunity@esri.com for assistance with the post archival process.
