Business Analyst Hydrology Layer does not display correctly

Has anyone else noticed that the hydrology layers in Business Analyst 2015

do not display at certain map scales?

Specifically the water areas in the  hydrology for the scale range 150-100K

do not display. And, indeed, when I look to see what data set is referenced

I find the feature class "MapOceanArea" instead of

"MapWaterArea". I think there are other mistakes also.

I was using BA 10.3.1 with the 2015 data when I discovered this.

Since there are multiple feature classes that might be the correct one (named MapWaterArea_[123]) I am not sure how to fix the problem. And I now, of course, have to fix it in multiple maps and multiple frames.

Please see my solution to this problem at

Sorry. I should have posted it here, but I lost track of my original post.

However, there is yet more bad news.

In using the data at a scale of 1:10K I also find that there

is no feature for the Willamette River in the basemap data.

I doubt that many of you care about that specifically; but

where there is one error, there are likely several, so

my conclusion about this 2015 basemap, both raw

data and layers, is that they are likely rife with errors.

Has this been forwarded to esri tech support cc'ing the BA team?  If not, it would be a good idea to do so.

Hi Dan

Yes. Not the specific error about the Willamette River, but the original error for which

I posted a workaround. ESRI inform me that they are aware of a number of problems

concerning the 2015 data update, although they did not get  info specifics.
