Hello.

I'm just getting started with this Map Tour application and am a bit confused.  I've gone through the 'Storytelling Map Tour template' (for version 2.2.1) and am more confused than anything.  Here is what I am trying to do.

1. Host the Map Tour application in IIS
2. Access the tour points through my ArcGIS Server
3. Access the images through a Picasa account.

The manual (Section 5) seems to only reference how to access web maps in ArcGIS Online.  I have no intention of using ArcGIS Online for this.  Am I completely missing something here?

Hi,

You are not missing anything, Map Tour require a web map.
Your web map can be hosted in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS.
ArcGIS Online has a free public account that you can use freely for non commercial use.

In a nutshell, you will create a webmap, add your Feature Service as a Layer and configure the application with the web map id, see documentation on GitHub (I recommand you also read the introduction parts).

But if you are using picture on Picasa you may be interested by the import functionnality, see here and here.
