Members of my group cannot edit my story map

Trying to collaborate on a story map with folks in my AGOL group. Followed the instructions from ESRI listed here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-storymaps/author-and-share/co-author-a-story.htm

I created one story map, and it said 'was moved or deleted' when folks tried to view it. Created and published another within my organization, and now folks can view it but they can't edit it. 

I would really like to be able to collaborate on a story map with my coworkers, but this function doesn't seem to be very intuitive. 

Any helpful folks out there with tips for us?

Have you been adding these stories not only to a group in your organization, but a shared update group?

This would require an additional setting when creating the group, where you enable the Shared update group designation when first creating the group.
