Hello,
Has anyone come across a way to link to specific sections within a Map Journal if the Main Stage is a web page? In my case I'd like to have a web page with various images (similar open data themes/categories), then each image links to a different section. I've been told this isn't possible out of the box, but was wondering if it can even be achieved through customization.
Thanks,
Chris

I've not seen that done from a web page like you describe. Another approach would be to divide a large Story Map Journal up into separate stories and create a standard web page provides links to each Map Journal. For example, see:
People for Bikes: How it got Built

Or you could use an ArcGIS Online Gallery app to present a set of Map Journals, like:

Hi Chris,
This isn't exactly what you want but it might help you get started: https://developerscorner.storymaps.arcgis.com/add-context-to-story-map-journal-with-an-index-map-ccc...

Hi Carmel - thanks for the suggestion. I did see that and was thinking about how/whether I could make it work. I think the main thing that may prevent me from using it is that it doesn't behave the same way on mobile, but I suspect if I'm getting into customizing that may be what I'm faced with in most cases.
Thanks again and I'll keep browsing!
Thanks Rupert. I did see that one as well, but two things precluded me from using it - the fact that the main stage was a map rather than a web page, and the caveat at the bottom that it wouldn't work on mobile. If it worked on mobile I may have tried to shoehorn something together using the map rather than web page.

Interesting you mention that - we had originally been set on a separate landing page (a simple web page, similar to the bikes example) which did essentially that, but I was asked to see how/whether we could wrap everything into one experience.
