small key icon in ArcReader .pmf

Does anyone know the significance of the small key icon that "just appeared" on my .pmf?  It isn't on the .mxd, and doesn't seem to affect performance of the .pmf in any way.  I haven't found any documentation of this anywhere, but I know that it has not always been there.  It is located in the bottom status bar, center.  I am using v.10 products.

If you re-create the pmf file, is this small key their still in the new pmf file? Are you also seeing this key when you package the pmf file? Or was this small key seen only on a certain pmf file that was created, and not seen since and you were wondering what this meant. Gracias!
