I'm pretty new to the ArcReader world and what all it's capable of but have been muddling my through until I hit a snag. We are using ArcReader with several users looking at a map. The layers on the map come from an SDE that we had to package as a file geodatabase instead of just keeping with the existing format due to some annotation layers that are on the SDE (not on the actual map though, so not sure it should really be throwing that error.) We need these maps to self update when we make changes to the data on the SDE since this is for an emergency management operation. We've been fighting the system a lot since we upgraded to 10.1. It wants to crash when we resave the .mxd, every time we touch the find tool in ArcReader the system locks up for a good 5 minutes before it finally pulls up the tool. Mostly I am wondering if there's a service pack out for ArcReader 10.1 that helps any of these things, should my data packaging let me package keeping original format despite the annotation and topology files that are on the SDE (not the .mxd), and are any of the data packaging options going to self update when we update the SDE?
