I have published and packaged a map in 9.3.1. It opens fine from the network and from my hard drive but when it is loaded to a laptop all layers have red explanation marks. The pmf and data folders are fine. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

The red exclamation marks indicate broken data links. The path to the data your pmf is using is not intact on the laptop. You can recreate it on the laptop (keep path intact by duplicating data and location) or create a data package in Arc Publisher for the pmf to use.

I too have the same issue.   When I create a pmf and package the data, it will work fine on my pc but when I load it on to another it will show several layers with red exclamation marks.

I have not had this difficulty with previous pmf's but this one is rather large and I wonder if that may be it?

Does Publisher have certain limits?

Guys this is your answer... I fix this one of 2 ways one is to make a data package. And make sure your set relative paths is selected.. The other is to copy all the data over with your .pmf.. I would just make a data package.
