Hello,
We currently use ArcEditor 9.3.1 to create published maps for ArcReader 9.3.1 . We built an address locator to try and make things easier and faster than picking the Features Tab under Find and then specifying the layer to search against.
When using the features tab, if we do an incomplete search (ex. type in Smith and pull up all streets with Smith regardless of Suffix). However when trying to do the same thing in our address locator, it comes back up with no results unless you are specific down to the tee (ex, 1675 Smith St NE).
Is there a way to do this in the address locator also. We have adjusted the minimum candiate scores as well as tried different layers to match agains (address, parcel..etc..) .
I guess what I'm looking for is under Find --> features, there is a checkbox that allows it to find similar or contain the search string. If there is a way to duplicate that in an address locator, I believe that would do it.
I'd be happy to provide more info if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks.
