View AXF in ArcCatalog or ArcMap?

Is there a way to view AXF's to QA\QI in ArcMap or ArcCatalog?
It would seem like it would be native to ESRI products to read their own format.

You can view an .AXF file in ArcStudio, which is now part of the ArcPad package.

Thanks for the suggestion.  But that would mean every person that would want to check the data would need the arcpad package installed.  Also, via arc pad desktop, still doesn't alow you to add layers via arcsde.
