Hi,

I want to upgrade the OS of my Nomad to WM 6.1 however I have not been able to determine the model number of my Nomad.
Does anyone know how i can find out if my Nomad is an 800C,  800X and so on????

I have been trying to figure this out for hours and no luck.  There is no part number just the Serial Number.   Please help.

Thanks

The variety models of ruggedized mobile devices such as Trimble Nomad series can indeed be difficult to determine. Hoping this helps you identify the model for performing the upgrade. Also included links to sites that should help with the process.

initially, Nomad 800 models were installed with WinMo 6.0 OS,
800B   - 512MB Flash, Bluetooth
800L   -     1GB Flash, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi
800LC -     1GB Flash, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, camera
800LE*-     1GB Flash, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, camera, laser scanner
* 800LE only comes with numeric keypad, other models can have either keypad

all Nomad 900G models have 6GB Flash, VGA screen, GPS, Bluetooth/WLAN, numeric keyboard, WinMo 6.1 OS, NMEA and SiRF binary protocol as well as additional features for each model:
900GL   - CF/SD storage expansion
900GLC - SD storage expansion, camera
900GLD - SD/USB storage expansion
900GLE - SD storage expansion, camera, laser scanner
900GXC - SD storage expansion, camera, cellular modem
900GXE - SD storage expansion, camera, laser scanner, cellular modem
