We are currently running ArcMap 10 SP4, as well as ArcPad 10.  When we install Trimble GPS Analyst 2.40, everything appears to install just fine.  We also run the updater, and apply the one update to the main software.  The extension is available and the toolbar shows just fine.  We can then export data to our GPS units, and collect as normal.  We run into an issue however when trying to check data back in.

Every time we attempt to check in data we receive the following error message:
"The Trimble GPS Analyst extension toolbox has not been installed.  Please use the ArcGIS Toolbox Manager to install it from the Toolbox sub folder, which can be found in the GPS Analyst installation folder."

I've looked for the ArcGIS Toolbox Manager and couldn't find it.  I did however use the ArcToolbox window in ArcCatalog to add the Trimble GPS Analyst Tools to ArcToolbox.  This however did not resolve my issue as I still get the same error message.

Another interesting twist is that I have tried to run the repair option for GPS Analyst to see if that will resolve the issue, and that seems to simply remove the GPS Analyst toolbar as an option in ArcMap, as well as remove GPS Analyst as an Extension in ArcMap.

Any help is greatly appreciated as we have several users who have been unable to use GPS capabilities.

Thanks in advance!

After looking at this issue for the hundredth time...I realized that I had completely looked into the error message too much!  All I had to do to resolve the issue is copy the Trimble GPS Analyst Toolbox from my install location on the C drive (C:\Program Files\Trimble\GPS Analyst\ArcToolbox\ToolBoxes) to the Toolbox folder of my ArcGIS installation location (C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes).  I was feeling as though there was something more to the issue, when it was very simple to resolve - and we are off GPS'ing!
