Hello again

I'm really new to this and did not get any set of instruction with the mobile unit.

What's the best way of transferring stuff over to the mobile unit. After doing the "getdataforacrpad", I can copy and paste it in but the path I've got to link the databases don't work.

I have tried changing the path in arcpad studio to     C:\my document\ .....
                                                                           mobile device:\my document\ ....

neither seem to work, help

Can you be more specific? Depending on what you did in "getdataforacrpad", it can give you an Arcpad map and corresponding database somewhere on your computer. Then you simply copy these files over to your mobile device and voila? (also see ArcPad User Guide)

What I'm doing with with getdata for arcpad seems to be correct the maps work fine for me.

It was just the copying and paste method I thought wrong.

I have written a script in studio to fill a box while out in the field.  It works fine in arcpad on my computer but not on the mobile unit.  I'm assuming I have to change the path in the script but I have tried a number of version and can't get the right path I was hoping there was a better way.
