I created an arcpad project in ArcGIS Desktop and imported the projection associated with the background map I want to add to the project once I open it in ArcPad. I did this to ensure the background map had the same projection as the map in ArcPad, yet I received the following error when I tried to add the Mr.Sid file to the map in ArcPad:
"The map projection for layer 'Crook12_100NAD83N.sid' doesn't match the current map projection."
I know they are in the same projection. The projection I imported to the ArcPad project is a custom projection. Is there an issue with using custom projections in ArcPad?
I reviewed the parameters of the projection in ArcGIS Desktop .mxd and they matched exactly those in the ArcPad .apm.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
