Only some edits checked in

Hello,

I routinely update a tree inventory point feature class using ArcPad 10.0 R4 and ArcMap 10.1 SP1.  I recently returned from the field, checked in my edits, and was surprised to see inconsistencies between the feature class in ArcPad vs. ArcMap.

It appears new and modified features were successfully checked in, but only some of my deleted features were updated in ArcMap.  Sitting here at my desk, I can examine the ArcPad project on my mobile device and verify that the points I deleted were successfully removed and no longer show up on the screen on the mobile device.  However, on my desktop screen in ArcMap, some of the points have been removed, but some still remain.

What could be causing this irregular behavior?  Is it possible that some edits were successful and some not, even within the same feature class? It is making me very worried that edits (deleted features) from previous fieldwork may not have been fully synced with my geodatabase back at the office.

Any ideas on a possible cause or a workflow to determine if any edits from previous fieldwork sessions were not successfully checked in?

Hola DComerfo,

My suggestion on this issue, would be to log a webform with us (Support Services). This way we can look at your data, work flow, etc. to better test and investigate, what you are seeing when you check in your data into your geodatabase. Their could be numerious issues going on here, which could cause this not to update your database, when you check in your modifications. Please keep in mind, as long as you are current with your maintenance. You can mention my name and our discussion from the forums in the webform, I would be happy to work with both of you on this issue being seen. Gracias, DComerfo!

navid-If you would like to do the same, in logging a webform with us, I would be happy to also work with you on your issue.
