Hi, I created a shapefile in arcmap. Then in arcpad studio I created a form to deploy into my trimble geo xh gps unit which runs arcpad software.  I tested out my form for the information I was gathering with my trimble.  I used a combo box for one of my labels and I decided that was not the appropriate choice for the information I was gathering.  I checked in the information that I collected into arcmap, then I went back into arcpad studio to try and edit one label in the control box to a different style.  I deleted the combo box in the edit window and tried to bring over a different box to put with my label and the "FIELD" in control properties is not open for me to choose the label I would like to attatch this to.  Is it editable?  I hope so because I would rather change this one label vs. re-creating a whole new form. Any ideas?

Hi Eric,

Are you referring to modifying a LABEL or TEXT control? For more information, please review the Customizing ArcPad Forms > Customizing forms: an overview in ArcPad Studio Help for detailed information on form controls. What type of control are you trying to modify in ArcPad Studio?

In ArcPad Studio Help, the Redlands sample is based on shapefiles and APL files and is used in the Quick Start Tutorials > Tree Inventory. Exercise 2 is Custom Forms and covers this topic nicely. If you still need help modifying your Edit form, please contact Esri Support and submit a support request so you can work with an ArcPad specialist via Chat, Phone, Email or Webform to resolve this challenge.

Cheers,
Denise

Thanks, I looked at the help section like you suggested.  My issue is I created a combo box and decided that is not what I want to use.  I try to clear it and bring over the default configuration but can't accomplish that.  I delete the control(combo box) and then drag over the label box and go into the control properties but I cannot choose a field (drop down is not an option) to assign the box of the attribute I want to work on.  I am trying to avoid creating more work than I actually need to do.
Thanks
