Controlling domain sort order in arcpad form

We are using ArcPad Data Manager to check out a feature class for editing.  The feature class attributes are controlled by domains on each field. One coded value domain, Cov_cbo, is assigned to multiple fields that require cover class values.  The domain numeric codes correspond to text range descriptions.  For example, code: 30 = description: 26 - 35%.  The numeric codes are in logical order and when these fields are edited in ArcMap the attribute editor displays the descriptions in the order of the codes, e.g. 1 - 5%, 6 - 15%, 16 - 25%.  But once the fc is checked out and opened in ArcPad for editing, the form displays the menu choices in alphabetical order so that 6 - 15% follows 56 - 65%, etc.  Is there a way to correct this or force ArcPad to respect the original domain sort order?

Amy,

A year ago this was a known bug - I assume the issue is still present.  At that time I don't thing there was a way in which to work around the problem.  Perhaps there is now, but I sort of doubt it.  You could try creating pick lists with dbf files via ArcPad Studio, but that process tends to be way more complicated (due to bugs) than it should.

CQ00312805: Coded value domain values are sorted differently in ArcPad edit forms than in the domain itself.
