Cannot retrieve .axf or .apm from ArcPad on Trimble Recon unit.

I checked out a map and layers onto our Trimble Recon unit. We have ArcMap 10, ArcPad 10. I cannot get the GPS Analyst toolbar to come up in ArcMap so I used the Check Data out and Check Data In tools for ArcPad in the ArcGIS toolbox. I can see the files in the Recon unit, I can open the map in the unit and make edits, but I cannot retrieve it. ArcGis crashes when I use the Check Data In tool, if I try to open the files in ArcStudio, nothing happens...HELP!

Hello!

Please make sure that you are copying the entire project folder from your device onto the machine on which you are planning to perform your check-in.

You can check your data by opening your project in ArcPad on this machine.

The ArcPad Data Manager requires a local data source and will not perform a check-in on files that are still on the device.
