Arcpad1o - Tooltips appearing in the Quick Capture toolbar

When using the desktop version of arcpad 10, tooltips appear when hovering over the symbols in the quick capture toolbar(the name of the layer you are about to add into appears) this function however does not appear when hovering over the icons on the PDA.   Is there a setting required somewhere in the software that allows this to happen. I have nine layers in the quick lauch toolbar of the PDA and it would be handy for the user to know which layer they are adding too.

Hi,

The 'tooltip' attribute for TOOLBUTTON object is only supported on Desktop version of ArcPad. Please review the Customizing ArcPad Help documentation for more information on this item. ArcPad Studio Help > Customizing ArcPad Toolbars.


  • Tool tips are displayed as a pop up when the mouse cursor moves over the custom  tool. This functionality is not available when running ArcPad on Windows  Mobile/Windows CE.



  • You can specify prompts for custom tools. Prompts are displayed in the  status bar when the mouse cursor moves over the custom tool. This functionality  is not available when running ArcPad on Windows Mobile/Windows CE.
