When I generate a point in ArcPad on my GPS unit, it assigns a FID number to that point. Can I change the label of that field? and where do I change it? Is there any where I can assign a Value to this Field?

Hello Preston, the FID value that is assigned to each of your point features is equivalent to the ObjectID.  ArcGIS Desktop products require that both standalone and attribute tables have an ObjectID field, which contains a unique, long integer to identify each record. This ID is managed by ESRI software and cannot be changed manually.
