ArcPad Data Manger not active

I have just installed ArcWiew 10 sp1 and ArcPad 10 sp1. It all looks very nice but I cannot check anything out. The toolbar is there but shadowed. If I check the Toolbox Window, there is no toolbox for ArcPad. What can be wrong?

In ArcMap, go to the customize menu, extensions..., then check on the ArcPad Data Manager extension.
