First off, I used ArcPad 7.11 till now. Finally had to move to 10, so this maybe old news to a lot of you. I got the felling that ESRI really don't like ArcPad users. Here's why:

I have layers using subtype and have attributes that has different Domain for different subtype. My 7.11 projects works with this very well. Now at 10, I have problems:
    1. can't have default value show up for these attribute fields!
    2. Can't set "limittolist" to False on these fields. So when the subtype don't have a domain for a particular field, I can't enter anything.
    3. Don't know how to set a value for these field with VBscript. - This maybe doable, please help.

At this point, I'd like to go back to 7.11. Any body know how to pack edited shape file back to an AXF for data check-in?

Thanks

Can't believe I'm the only one upset over this. Guess the change was make from version 8. So most using this feature give up long time ago.

I'm new to arcpad and having the same problem. #2 is especially frustrating, particularly because ESRI's help for DomainFields says "The DomainField control also automatically switches between different domains (that is, no domain, range domain, or coded value domain) when governed by a subtype field associated with another DomainField control." This suggests to me that we should be able to edit a DomainField without a domain, but I sure haven't been able to.

Have you found any solutions?
