Update a field using the values from another table field

I have one table and a shape file. I have 2 fields named MUN,CITY in the shapefile. The same fields are there in the table also.
if Shapefile.MUN =Table.MUN then
populate shapefile.CITY with corresponding Table.CITY values.

Anyone have the code please share with me. Thanks in advance.
