Migration Away from MapObjects

Are there any documents, articles, posts, or cuneiform tablets that show how objects in MapObjects can be replaced by objects in ArcEngine?  I have a project that uses both tools so I'd finally like to join this century and get rid of the MapObjects but I'm lazy (obviously) so I need help.

I'm unaware of such a document. However, if you could give some more info on what the MapObjects portion of your application is responsible for maybe we could try and help offer some suggestions. With 10.1 we will also have the release of the new ArcGIS Runtime that may offer some additional migration pathways for MapObjects developers.
