Closing an mxd in ArcObjects

Quick question on ArcObjects program. My program has the user open an mxd and the dialog box is there for them to answer questions to pull up another premade mxd map. When the map opens it opens behind the mxd with the dialog box. Is there a way to hide or minimize the first mxd so that the user can see the map that has opened?
