After installing the latest Windows 10 update Version 20H2 (October 2020 Update), ArcMap will no longer run. On startup attempt I get "Error: ArcMap.exe has generated a problem and needs to close. And Error: runtime error." Is this a known issue and can anyone point me to a solution?

I'm running ArcGIS Desktop Advanced with Extensions Single Use Nonprofit Version 10.8.1

I uninstalled the 20H2 update and restored to previous version and everything works fine again. Now windows is telling me I must update or else!

Thanks!

Solved. Thanks to a post by Ethan here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-desktop-installation/arcmap-crashes-on-startup/td-p/809687. The problem was  caused by having 2 display drivers running and that caused some kind of conflict. Under the Device Manager, Display Adapters, I had an Intel and NVIDIA driver running. I disabled NVIDIA and ArcMap started working fine. I noticed ArcCatalog worked fine until I tried to preview an MXD, then it would crash. So did some more searching on that and found Ethan's post.
