Our laptops crashed on Friday but we found a temporary fix until we get a solution from ESRI\Intel\Windows as to why the latest version for our NVIDIA driver is causing ArcMap to crash. 10.7.1 and 10.8.2 would both crash as ArcMap was in the "Loading Document..." stage. ArcGIS Pro and web apps were unaffected. We had all users with an NVIDIA RTX A1000\Intel GPU combo install a previous version, found in the link below, both versions of ArcMap now load successfully.

Click download then download on the next screen. Once downloaded, install the older version using a clean installation. In the installation options window, select Custom (Advanced) then Next and check the box next to Perform a clean installation then click Next.
I have been reading a lot of posts from ESRI users as well as on the NVIDIA Developer Forum: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/esri-arcmap-crashing-nvoglv32-dll/277984
I gather it is happening on various forms of PCs, various versions of Windows OS and various drivers to name the big ones. Merkat106 [Developer Forum] narrowed it down to the nvoglv32.dll and has found a temporary solution. As for our organization, we narrowed it down to the latest NVIDIA driver and only the PCs with the RTX A1000 Laptop GPU and rolled-back that driver to Version 474.44 [30.0.14.7444]. No crashes today for me and no reports of other PCs crashing.
