ArcMap 10.6.1 Desktop

When setting the Symbology to Categories, the Color Ramp applies to the Fill Color and the Outline Color is grey.  I would like to use a Color Ramp for the Symbology Outline and Fill Color.  I would like to have the Fill Color and Outline Color Match.  By matching the Outline Color, I can essentially grow the shape without adding a buffer.  I would also like the ability to use a Color Ramp for the Symbology Outline with No Color Fill.

I have a similar problem with this one. I would like to use a Color Ramp for the Symbology Outline with the same Color Fill in order to exaggerate the polygon feature in layout.

This would be a very useful feature and seems so simple. There should just be a check box called "Match Outline Color with Fill Color." I've been manually updating graduated colors on outlines for years and it's especially annoying since many of the colors used for the fill are custom, and it's not a simple matter of selecting the color from the pallet. You have to manually enter the RGB values for each symbol, which gets super annoying when there are 20 symbols.

I was going to say the same thing. Soon after I did, I found on the symbology - to the right of the color scheme - there is a settings wheel and you can check to apply to fill and outline.
