I'm using the latest version of ArcMap Desktop with StreetMap (need to do local geocoding because of HIPPA restrictions). My goal is to create congressional district maps with geocoded addresses so that I can calculate the number of people within each district. Has anyone done this before or have any tips on how to accomplish this? Thank you!
Once your address points are geocoded, you'd simply need to do a spatial join between the addresses and the district polygons. This assumes that your addresses have some sort of "number of persons" field that you're trying to sum.
Esri even has a technical article describing this process for ArcMap.
