Hi all,
I have a series of 10 figure grid references taken on a GPS in British National Grid (attached), however when I import them to a map set to BNG they are off of the UK Coast so clearly in the wrong place. They seem to be interpreted by arc as metres, as if i set location units to meters then they are correct (e.g. grid reference 50605, 14307 is located at 50605 metres East 14307 metres North). I am sure I am doing something wrong here, but have been unable to figure out what. I had assumed that british national grid projections would use british national grid grid references as coordinates, however this appears incorrect? What should I do to fix this?
