The copy and paste feature is great. However, a big improvement is if it retains the photos and attachments of the feature being copied from. There is currently NO app or tool in the web GIS environment that carries over the attachments, such as Field Maps. This would help Web Editor be a valuable tool for many workflows.
@Tiff Please would you be able to provide more details on your workflow? What types of attachments need to be preserved when copy-pasting features, and why?
Hi @AlixVezina thank you for your follow-up! This would be a great feature to have for our workflows. We have an asset request workflow where we have our asset inventory and the option for staff to request changes to that inventory, such as additions/new assets. Those come with photos. For our asset coordinator and other staff to approve these workflows, they are copying and pasting from the request layer into the authoritative asset layers. To include photos automatically would streamline this process!
I noticed that my logged ENH-000170260 about this topic had a recent update where it is under evaluation/preparing to be addressed, so I hope that is a good sign!
