I am a GIS specialist working with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Experience Builder, and I would like to be able to batch edit fields even when other fields contain Arcade expressions that reference them.
Our workflow involves batch editing a field (for example, “Status Åtgärd”). This field is then used in an Arcade expression in another field (for calculations or logic control).
The issue occurs when we batch update multiple features and save the changes. If Field A is updated through batch editing, and Field B contains an Arcade expression that references Field A, the save operation returns a rollback error. As a result, no changes are saved.
We experience this behavior both in ArcGIS Experience Builder and in ArcGIS Online (Web Editor).
This limitation significantly impacts our efficiency, as batch editing is a critical part of our workflow. We would like the system to properly evaluate dependent Arcade expressions during batch updates, instead of triggering a rollback error.
hello @AdministratörHolmen I've tried to reproduce and I'm unable to; are you able to provide a repro case? You can provide the arcade here and I could look at it or you can invite the user "craig_sp" to the group and I should be able to reproduce it.
You can contact me at cgillgrass@esri.com if you like.
We're nearing our release date next week but, if I can get a reproducible case soon, we may be able to get any fix for this into the release.
Craig
