Unable to run Web App builder dev edition as  a Windows service error.

Get a node package "winser" error: "No rights to manage services"

I am an admin on my machine. What other rights do I need?

I have latest version of node already installed on my machine. Is that a problem because WAB download has a older version of nodejs in it? Not sure how that is resolved.

   Sounds like you did not understand step 2. of "Run as a Windows service:" instructions.

Get started—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) | ArcGIS for Developers

What this means is you right click the "Command Prompt" shortcut and choose "Run as administrator".
