Hello,

Is there a way to share a webApp via a link to someone external to the organisation ?
Otherwise, is it possible to create a nameuser that doesn't have access to the organization's content but just a specific webApp ?

How much would it cost per year for a nameuser ?

The context is the following : we are creating a webApp for a client, and we would like him to have access to the webapp (read only) via a link or via a new nameuser (read + modify).

Thanks a lot

Thanks, but then isn’t the WebApp visible on ArcGIS Online to all ArcGIS Online users ?

Yes. So your requirements are to share with select individuals then without having them login? If so then you can store some credentials in a proxy so that that particular app has public access but web map is not visible to all AOGL users.

We did this so partners could view the app but not see anything else we have.  It required using one of our ArcGIS licenses as a named user (level 1) and assigning that user view-only rights to the particular content sub containing the app - and no rights to any other content.  Users could then click the link to the app (shared via email) and log in to view it.

Mark,

So as I mentioned you can use the esri resources proxy to store the username and password in the proxy.config on the server that would authenticate for your app and the user will not be prompted for login and your services can be secured and that app that is setup to use the proxy will have access but the general public will not.
