Hello! I am currently trying to develop a web app or survey that will allow people within my organization to upload attachments such as photos to currently existing data points. These points have been previously geocoded onto a map, and my goal is for a surveyor to be able to go out to the area marked, take a photo of the area, and then upload it to the data point. What might be the best ArcGIS program to accomplish this? I have looked at App Studio, Instant Apps, and Arc Field Maps but none seem to have this capability.
Thanks,
Peter
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hosted Feature Layer > enable editing to 'update' > enable attachments
Add to web map
Share web map to group
Invite user with field worker role (or equivalent)
Open in ArcGIS Field Maps > edit point > add photo > submit
Hosted Feature Layer > enable editing to 'update' > enable attachments
Add to web map
Share web map to group
Invite user with field worker role (or equivalent)
Open in ArcGIS Field Maps > edit point > add photo > submit
Hi @ChristopherCounsell , ( @PeterOskam ),
Can this work too if you: Share the Editable Hosted Feature Layer to Public and Share the Web Map to Public? In other words can anyone edit (specific edit setting) the Public Hosted Feature Layer to include attaching photos, not only someone with Field Worker Role?
Thanks!
So this does work, but unfortunately I keep getting an error message about invalid geometry and the photo will not submit. Do I need to create an image field for the photo to be submitted to?
