How do I create hierarchical layer list?

Hello - I am exploring Web AppBuilder and can't seem to find a way to create a hierarchical layer list using the built-in widgets. This site http://gis.cdph.ca.gov/cnn2.0/  has what I am trying to accomplish - open the site, click "Layer List" at the top left, then notice how the layers are "nested" within primary categories and subcategories.

Surely Web AppBuilder must have the capability to create something so straightforward?

Create your groups/hierarchy in ArcMap and publish as a map service, then add your map service to your web map and you'll get the "nested" layers in different categories.
If you want to use layers / services that you don't control your self there is no way to do this using the built-in widgets.
