Hello All,

I am trying to create a very simple and editable Web App using Web App Builder via my ArcGIS Online Organizational Account; however, I am having difficulty figuring out how to make the feature editable.

I have a point feature and I want to allow users to place a point where activity "X" is taking place. I initially created the Web Map in Pro and created the Web App from that Web Map. I added the 'Smart Editor' widget(see attachment) but it is not allowing me to make my feature editable. I am I missing something here?

All comments and input would be appreciated.

Chad,

See this resource and know that an editable layer requires the data to be versioned and coming from an enterprise Geodatabase.

Hi Chad!

If you're publishing this to ArcGIS Online, it sounds like you may just need to allow editing on the feature layer itself in order to be able to toggle that setting in the Smart Editor widget.

You can either enable editing on the layer at the time of publishing from Pro (note the Copy all data: Editable setting):
https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/sharing/overview/share-a-web-map.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_8CE29042E6...

Or you can enable the setting directly on the feature layer inside ArcGIS Online after publishing. The settings mentioned on this page can be found by clicking on the feature layer item listed in your Content:

https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/manage-hosted-feature-layers.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_0...

Once you enable editing on the layer, you should then be able to toggle that setting in the widget. Hope this helps!
