Coordinate Configuration Widget - How to setup datum transformation of added coordinate systems.

I have added some coordinate systems to the Coordinate Configuration Widget. The instructions are vague. Should I be selecting the transformation from the default coordinate system, WGS_1984 in my example, to the added coordinate system, NAD_1983 in my example? And then I select the "Use Transformation Forward" check box?
