Are geocoding services allowed  in viewer for silverlight?   the error message im getting is  "unable to connect". other GP services were succesfully loaded.

From ESRI:

"The Silverlight viewer already has a built in geocode service from ArcGIS Online. Using the search tool you can enter an address or place name to geocode the location. As of now it is not possible to use your own geocode service in the Silverlight Viewer"

Hi Cesar,

If you are willing to create your own tool, you can take a look at our Locate" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapps/silverlightviewer/samples/s... Address sample. If you look at the AddressToLocationCommand.cs file, you'll see that you can specify any geocode server to be used for the LocatorTask.
