Order of objects in template picker of Edit widget

A user remarked that the order of editable items in the template picker seems to be random (confirmed for both Flex Viewer 3.4 and 3.5).

It is desired to have the same object order like in the legend. Is this possible by configuration?

Hi Laurens,

I assumed that you mean the order of editable feature from the edit widget. There is a way to customized the order in Flex Viewer by changing the configuration files of Edit widget.  
If you specifically changing one applications in the viewer, the file is located in the C:drive --> intetpub -->wwwroot --> flexviewers --> the application name folder -->widgets -->Edit -->EditWidget.xml

The tag called <formfieldsorder>, please check this documentation for Flex Viewer:

In the Application Builder - three options to customize for the formfieldsorder -
1) Alphabetical
2) Fields
3) FieldInspector

I tried setting mine to 'fields', however the last field is still showing on top of the list in the Edit widget popup.

Why won't it stay at the bottom where it should be?  Everything else is in order...

I am using the Viewer for Flex 3.5 and ArcGIS Server 10.1
