Hi, I am currently using the Map Legend Widget using Rest Legend with ArcGIS Server 10 and Flex API 2.4.
Before upgrading to ArcGIS Server 10.1 and Flex API 3.1, I want to know if the Map Legend Widget I am using now is still going to work with AGS 10.1 and Flex API 3.1

Does anyone know about this?

Thanks,

Please clarify what you are referring to as the "Map Legend Widget".

Ben,

Are you using the out of the box legend or is it one that you have modified yourself? There is a legend in 3.1 that should work ok:

I think this Widget was called as "Live Maps Widget" in the past. It gets map Legend images from web services which uses ArcGIS Server .NET ADF library.

Ben,

I think the live maps widget is one of Roberts it's now called the table of contents/legend widget is has been updated to 3.1:

I see. I tested the new legend widget of Roberts, but for some reasons, some legend symbols don't show up right. They looked good in the LiveMapsWidget. If possible, I want to continue to use the LivaMapsWidget on AGS 10.1 and Flex API 3.1. Is it technically possible?

Ben,

It depends on if you are using compiled or uncompiled code. If compiled then no you will have to upgrade. If you have the source code then bring it into your application, work through any errors then re-publish it may work

I see. Thanks. I use uncompiled code. So, AGS 10.1 still supports SOAP based .NET ADF web services. Right?

As far as I am aware yes, have a look at the deprecation plan:
