The default behavior of a widget seems to be to put up a box with options/results etc. that the user interacts with to see things on the map. I would like to be able to have a toggle button/icon that turns things on and off. For example: click on it to see georss feed results on the map (without see the list of them) and then click again to turn them off. I'd like to do the same thing with the identify widget behavior. Unfortunately I am having trouble figuring how to make this happen without hacking up the existing flexviewer code and framework. I tried extending the widgetTemplate.as but it didn't seem to do the job. Anyone have any thoughts? Has anyone else considered this? Thanks for listening.
