Identify Widget for Flex Viewer - No Loading of Results in Application Preview

I have added the Identify Widget found at the following address;

http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=39cf66d58c234279ba728c50461a1a89

I have loaded two features into this tool in Widget settings and I chose the same URL for both of the feature layers which are found on my ArcGIS Server site. These are the same URLs I provided when adding these features as operational layers when beginning the Application Builder. When I preview my application the Identify Widget appears however when I click on one of the features which I added to the widget no results are loaded.

Any ideas as to what might be the issue?

I'm unable to save this setting, when I change it to 'Off', click 'OK' and go back into the setting it is switched back to 'On'.
This is odd because I can change the 'Open at start' to On or Off and it saves with no problem.

Richard,

   OK, that is definetly a bug in the GUI. So you will have to do this manually (untill I get this bug fixed). To do this manually just open the IdentifyWidget_#.xml in a text editor program like notepad and find this line:

<layers onlythese="true">
and change it to false

<layers onlythese="false">
save your edit and clear your browsers cache and try to identify again.

OK and can you recommend which browser cache I should clear?

I still have no luck. I changed this code in IdentifyWidget_2.xml and cleared Mozilla Firefox cached web content. I then loaded my application viewer on this browser but the identify doesn't load any results.

I checked the widget settings and 'Only These Layers' is still switched on which is expected?

Richard,

   As long as IdentifyWidget_2.xml is the highest numbered xml in your Identify folder and you open it and the onlythese is false then you have sucessfully accomplished the test I wanted you to do. Short of all this, I am drawing a blank as to why your data is not returning any results. Is this sensitive data or is it something you can share with me for further testing? If you can export one of the layers out to a file geodatabase and zip that up it would help.

Richard,

   Hmm... Nothing good to report. I took your layer and published a map service from it trying to keep everything as close to your as possible, and I was able to identify the Green Coast Beaches with out any issue in the preview tab.

I have now tried it with the data in SDE and it work fine there as well. Can you provide the REST Service directory page for this layer, so that I can keep everything as close as possible.

  1. What version of ArcGIS Server are you on?

  2. What version of the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex are you using?

  3. What Version of the Identify Widget are you using?
