I have tried ArcGIS Locators. One thing though is by default is seems like Bing is the choice, so perhaps when I switch to a ArcGIS locator, something is not changing behind the scene.

We've made a number of changes to the 3.0 Prerelease which I think will fix the issue.
If you don't want to wait ... you could try adding a new locator widget (instead of re-using the one that by default is part of every application). One of these two scenarios should be working fine in the beta as well (if i remember correctly).

Hi, Can some one post me the steps to add bing locator to ArcGIS sharepoint. please provide bing locator service as well. Its pretty urgent. Thanks.
You'll probably get more SharePoint help on the ArcGIS for Sharepoint forum ... but my understanding is that Bing locator services are not supported out-of-the-box with ArcGIS for Sharepoint. The workaround for integrating Bing geocoding with ArcGIS for Sharepoint would be to develop an add-in for the Map Web Part.
Thanks bjorn for the response. There is an out of box feature available in ArcGIS sharepoint to add bing map locator, but it is not working for me. I am wondering if I am using the wrong bing locator service. 1. I used http://dev.virtualearth.net/webservices/v1/geocodeservice/geocodeservice.svc as the bing locator in settings 2. Updated bing map key in configurations.
