Robert........
I really like this widget, but I have 2 issues with it.
First, the widget causes a white line across the map. It's not there if I remove the widget.
Second, the labeling dropdowns from the top toolbar widgets are covered up from the basemap/Enhanced Map Switcher Widget. Again, if I remove the Enhanced Map Switcher Widget, the dropdown labels can be seen over the top of the basemaps.
Please advise.

Josh,

To use Bing maps you need to see the documentation on using them here:

http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapps/flexviewer/help/01m3/01m30000000p000000.htm

Scroll down and look for the "Attributes specific to Bing Maps" Headding

Thanks for your reply!  This is good information that I was missing.  I will try to configure it this way and will let you know if I'm successful or not.

Robert,

I followed the instructions in the documentation to set up the Bing maps in our compiled viewer.  It worked great!  I wouldn't have known where to start piecing all of the steps together, so thanks for your help!

Josh

Hi Robert,

(Sorry to bother you with this inquiry last week on the comments section of the widget).

I was hoping that you might still have the last 2.4 version of the widget available.  If so, could you please direct me to the download for that?

Thank you for your help and for your time.

Hello Robert,

is it possible for you and dgalluzzo to collaborate? Your basemap fader is awesome and his Enhanced Map Switcher (http://www.arcgis.com/rc/item.html?id=c720fb45e752402d978c2fdbe4259746) is great. It would be awesomely great if those two can be combined.

As always...thanks for those great widgets!

Dean,

This is all going to change in 3.0 as you will have the option to choose a basemap from a thumbnail basemap gallery.

Dear Robert,
i am using the new version of the eMapSwitcher 3.0 and i wondering if it is possible to use a tag to define the thumbnails for non esri basemap (defaultbasemap),
it will be better than to modify the  code

Trannoy,

Sure that is defined in the Main Config.xml file by adding the icon attribute:

            <layer label="Streets" type="tiled" visible="true"  alpha="1" icon="assets/images/basemap_streets.jpg"
                        url="http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Street_Map/MapServer"/>

Don't forget to click the top arrow (promote).
Follow the steps as shown in the below graphic:
