I'm getting a #2048 Error from Identity Manager when singing in to ArcGIS Viewer for Flex to access a secured service. Only in Chrome and FireFox. I know that this generally relates to a missing or incorrect crossdomain.xml file but I have confirmed that i have a corssdomain.xml in my web server root and I can browse successfully to it from a browser on the web server or elsewhere on the domain.
I have examined the client server traffic over using the Chrome developer tool. I can see that when I put the usr/pwd into Identity Manager it tries to get to the crossdomain file. The request header tries to access the file on my web server but gets redirected to https. The crossdomain file that gets returned in the response is not the same one as the one in my IIS root.
I have attached images that show the crossdomain on http and the one that is returned after the redirect to https as well as the request header and response.
Can anyone shed any light on why this may be happening and also if it is actually what is causing my #2048 error?
