How come arbitrary (tile) lines are appearing after applying coloured outline to land or water polygons?

In hopes of creating a simple vector tile map, I would like to add a distinct outline to separate land and ocean (without state boundaries). However, when adding an outline to either land or water polygons at a global scale, arbitrary (tile) lines across the continents or oceans are appearing.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the delay. It looks like these lines are a result of the tile boundaries. I've logged an issue internally for us to look at.

Which basemap are you styling? Can you provide the exact steps?

Thanks,

Hi Allan, this is my workflow...

For the 1st screenshot:

I used "Light Grey Canvas" basemap >> "Edit Layer Styles" tab >> "Natural" >> "Land" >> "Land" >> Changed "Outline color" to another colour from no color

2nd screenshot:

I used "Light Grey Canvas" basemap >> "Edit Layer Styles" tab  >> Expanded "Water" >> "Ocean" >> "Marine area" >> Changed "Outline color" to another colour from no color

Hope that is a bit clearer.

Thanks!
