Utility Network Integration with IoT or Real-time data

Hi Everyone, 

I'm looking forward to any use case examples on how Utility Networks can be integrated with IoT or real-time data. 

One example case that I'm searching for is how can we monitor the pressure rate or volume of oil that flows within a pipeline network in real-time while also using a Utility Network to manage their assets.
