I was wondering if there was any links to best practices/tips in managing subnetworks? Found this blog The Life Cycle of Subnetwork in Utility Network by Hussein Nasser which is a good starting pointing but I'm after something with more detailed information.
The parts I'm looking for is around the renaming & deleting of a subnetwork when DEFAULT is protected.
With renaming of a subnetwork, the subnetwork controller for that subnetwork would be modified (disabled first), changes made and then a new controller configured against (enable).
What needs to be done next?
The old subnetwork needs to be delete. Its old subnetwork controller is tagged for deleting in the subnetworks table (layer 500002). The export subnetwork rest api has the ack flag set as false by default and the gp tool doesn't this parameter exposed.
Version differences in ArcGIS Pro doesn't show the changes done to subnetwork controllers but the changes are versioned managed. Are we meant to build out tools to query the subnetworks table (layer 500002) by version to detected and so on.
It would be nice if something was documented in how all of this is really meant to work with the tools/framework provided by Esri Inc.
I shall stop rambling on now.
