Stormwater Utility Network Snapping with Stormwater Junctions and Structure Junctions

Our issue with elevation values being calculated are mostly solved. Just for reference, the issue is that we'd like elevations to be calculated from Z values, and also have correct slopes, for pipes that leave or enter an asset at different elevations: 

We're comfortable with using junction to junction associations to achieve this. Our most recent issue is that we cannot snap Structure Junctions or Stormwater Junctions to our Stormwater Lines. I've done all the troubleshooting for snapping - checking that it's enabled, checking coordinate systems, and checking tolerance, as well as making sure that snapping to sketches is enabled. Snapping between Stormwater Lines and Stormwater Devices works fine though.

For our workflow - using junction to junction associations to maintain accurate elevation data - should we be using the Stormwater Junctions and Structure Junctions at all, or just use the Stormwater Lines and Devices and ignore the junctions? Is there a setting or rule we can change that would allow us to snap to the junctions instead?

You can model the pipe connections as devices.  You do not have to use stormwater junctions.  Can you provide a schema only UN and I can look into why the snapping is not working.  

Snapping is not enabled for Structure Junctions to Stormwater Pipes, as you cannot create a rule for this.  You can always right click and select snap to though.

Thank you for your response. I tried to upload a few schema formats and only had luck with PDF unfortunately. Thank you for the tip on the right click > Snap to Feature function too! There's always new tricks on these forums.

I figured we could just use pipe connections, or a new stormwater device type, as opposed to junctions. We're mostly trying to figure out what the Structure Junctions and Stormwater Junctions are for so we can determine if we want to use them, or just pipe connections. From this support article, the Stormwater Junction feature class acts as the junction feature class for a traditional domain network at least.
